Glittering Lights

Glittering lights danced happily on her skin,
Her dress painted the color of the sky,
So hypnotic as it brushed the dance floor,
She could smell his smooth, rustic, cologne,
A lone tear escaped her hopeful eyes,
Wondering “Will he ever want me?”
“Will it ever be my turn?”
He was her best friend,
And boyfriend to a stunning girl,
yet she had always loved him.
This once simple dance,
She felt would be their last.
Yet he unglued her from the shadows,
Rested his hand at the small of her back,
And pulled her close.
Would they ever be this close again?
Warm breath tickled  her ear,
And a whisper meant only for her crept in,
“I’ve always loved you.”
“It’s only you.”

  3. This was really well wirten, and also shows that the girl loved her best friend. Yet he loves someone els in till they dance together. It was nicely put togetther as well. ALso it leaves of if he loves her as in a more then a friend or just i love you in a friend way. But it was really good.
