Tears of pain
The blood of Jesus
Wash them away
You hung on the cross
And there you died
What a great sacrifice
The blood now dried
Without you I’d be
Engulfed in sin
But there you died for me
And rose up again
You resurrected on high
In only three days time
And ascended to the sky
Now in heaven you reside
this was really good! You gave great emotion and feeling through the words "sorrow, pain and sacrafice" they gave you that sad mind set but then you used wods like "resurrection, ascended and reside" that made it cheerful. Of course most everyone knows about this but you made it easier to realte to by using the words"i, i'd and me". Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great way to incorporate religion into literature. I liked how you gradually changed your tone using words like "sorrow..pain" in the beginning and "resurrected..ascended" towards the end. This illustrated your respect towards Jesus.
ReplyDeleteI really llike this one, you show emotion and feeling with the poem. when i was reading it felt like i was in the poem and it made me feel for the emotions what you put in there. The most emotion i felt was when i read "Tears of sorrow" that really poped out the emotions.
ReplyDeletethis really shows your love for the Lord which is wonderful. you used such good vocab and I like how it started a bit sad but transformed into something beautiful

ReplyDeleteThis really brought forth deep emotions with the words "Engulfed in sin" and made me feel your emotion toward Jesus Christ and the sacrifices made. I felt your emotion. You took something well known and put it into a perspective that people could really connect with.
